Future Developments: Plans are in motion for the construction and operation of a new hostel, owned by the BCCP, offering long term provision of our hosting service.

The Service: The BCCP Hostel has the capacity to accommodate up to 10 single young people between the ages of 16-25. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate for children younger than 16years.
There is a spare room that is offered through Nightstop and that is for immediate emergencies.
Referrals to the hostel can be made through the Advice Service at the Head Office.
When that is not possible due to lack of staff or when the office is closed that day, referrals can be made through the hostel itself.

Due to the limited space, we can't guarantee that there will be a vacancy. Homeless young people or referring agencies are strongly advised to contact the Head Office Advice Team first to make a referral. The Advice Workers can suggest alternative options should there be no vacancy in our Hostel.

The hostel is short stay accommodation, usually up to 3 months, during which time residents are assisted in finding longer-term accommodation. This might be at our second stage accommodations in 8 dispersed units, offering a 6 month tenancy with a maximum stay of 2 years.

The building is staffed throughout the day. A full package of support is given, which is aimed at helping young people to develop the skills and confidence for independent living.
The hostel residents are encouraged to seek advice at the Head Office for any matters arising and help in securing further accommodation.
