The Supported Tenancy Sceme is run with the help of Incommunities.
Incommunities provide a certain number of properties which are sublet through Bradford City Centre Project under an assured shorthold tenancy. There is a waiting list for those who are interested in applying for the Supported Tenancy Scheme.
The Supported Tenancy Scheme works closely with Incommunities as well as Community Cohesion projects, like Sure Start, Hill Project, Anti-Crime aiming to assist young people with finding accommodation as well as re-establishing themselves into the community.
Young people who approach the Team are talked through all their options to assess eligibility to the Scheme. Once signed into the scheme they are provided by support, both practical and emotional if needed. There is also special emphasis in ensuring the young people in the Scheme strive to further their employability skills, by examining possible courses towards education and training.
