The resource room is an open access service for all users of Bradford City Centre Project. Before you use the room we would like you to familiarise yourselves with the basic ground rules. These rules are what you can expect from everyone in the resource room (yourself, staff and other people). We want the resource room to be a positive and supportive atmosphere for everyone who spends time in it.

  1. Everyone deserves respect and courtesy and has the right to access the resource room without fear of prejudice, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ability, culture, age or any other factor.
  2. Everyone has the right to be heard, the right to speak or not to speak. Please allow other people to finish what they are saying (even if you do not agree with one thing they have said – you will have your chance to reply.
  3. Violence and verbal abuse are unacceptable. Anyone who uses violence will be asked to leave and will face a barring period. (Aggression or threats of violence are also unacceptable).
  4. Please don’t put other people down; people come to the project for support and help.
  5. The resource room is a space where we can all work together to create a good, supportive and positive atmosphere.
  6. Alcohol and/or drug use are unacceptable in the resource room and will result in a barring period. In addition, dealing will not be tolerated or any discussion which can be interpreted as dealing.
  7. Please leave your business and/or arrangements outside. We do not want problems between people to affect the atmosphere or mood of the resource room. If you want to discuss a problem or difficulty please talk to a worker first.
  8. Your property is your responsibilities please look after it. Respect people’s property. Anyone known to have stolen from the resource room or the people who use and work in it will face a barring period.
  9. The resource room is not a safe or appropriate space for children, if you are a parent and want to access the resource room activities or any educational sessions we run then please talk to a worker.
  10. Keeping the resource room clean and tidy is everyone’s job – please do your bit. (And please clean your cups after you have used them).
  11. Please respect the resource room and its facilities, vandalism and graffiti will not be appreciated.
